On your first visit you will meet your Support Sister (key worker). This will either be Sister Rhona Jacques or Sister Lesley Hinchliffe.

They will provide supportive care throughout your cancer journey which begins at your diagnosis and continues throughout your treatment and long-term follow up.

- the shock of diagnosis
- adjustment to possible loss of vision of the affected eye
- coping with the side effects of treatments
- coping with fears for what the future may hold.

2. Counselling and information
The Support Sisters provide counselling to assess and provide information and support at the time of diagnosis and throughout your follow up.They can also put you in touch with other patients who have undergone the same treatment to give you a more personal perspective of the journey ahead.
You can access information about your local cancer support centres through the Macmillan website: www.macmillan.org.uk. When you are on the Macmillan website, look for 'How can we help you today?' and click on 'I want to talk'. Click on 'Cancer Support Groups' on the left hand menu and type in your postcode to find the neatest group to you. We can help you access this information.
